Rita was the one and only time I have ever heard my Dad say "frick"

we were cutting a tree off of my grandma's house/garage (in the middle of the storm) and a tree fell on my Dad's truck

he just looked at his truck, then to me, and screamed "frick!"

Had just got back from working in new Orleans and got sent to southwest La. Was truly a tale of two worlds. The way people came together there to help each other out restored my faith in humanity after being in New Orleans

What alot of people don't realize is that Katrina was the 3rd strongest storm of 2005 behind Rita and Wilma

Look at all those jacked up F-250s.

Seriously, that summer sucked arse. I had just settled back into working in NOLA and had to evacuate again.

Was living in the Galveston Bay area at this time and we evacuated to our family in Jackson(LA). The drive back through Lake Charles after the storm and seeing the damage was devastating.

Turned out that we didn't get hit bad in this one, but Ike really fricked us later.

Rita was a baaaad bitch. I went to Bunkie for Katrina and we were out of power for about a day or two, wasnt bad though I couldnt get to my apt in Baton Rouge. Rita? We were out of power for almost two weeks. I went back to Bunkie for that bitch and that was a terrible decision. I couldnt get to BR for a week.

Lived in Prairieville at the time. Rita was louder, windier and did more damage to my house than Katrina did.

Bitch.

Actually lost power in Metry for 12 hours during Rita... It rained it's arse off.... Just loaded up the freezer and fridge with about $300 worth of food post Katrina, we were at Jiggers Bar on Vets, the wife calls and says we have no power... Old Metry was pitch black... Got to break in the new Troy Bilt...

Funny part post Katrina and Rita, we hung out at bars we've never hung out at ever before...
