Just wondering what you all would want . I would love to have Jimbo on the sideline.

Chip Kelly

Eta: In 2020 after Miles wins 3 more SEC titles and two more NCs and retires the GOAT at LSU.

How would we get Jimbo? What would we offer him that he doesn't already have? Why not Saban if we're assuming any coach will just leave another top school for LSU?

And to anyone who says Coach O, I hear the janitor is very good, how about him? Because there's a big difference between a head football coach and a janitor. There's also a big difference between an assistant and a head coach. Radically different skill sets are required.

We've made two great coaching hires in a row. How about we use the same formula. Go get a guy who is currently a successful young head coach at a second tier program. That's where Saban, Miles and Urban all came from.

A guy that's won a national championship and been to the CFP isn't good enough for you? Who you think we are getting thats better than him? I understand he has had discipline issues, but that type of stuff happens in all big time programs to some extent.

Everyone knows Pete Carroll will be headed to Baton Rouge when that happens.

I'll take a hold on that right now, I want to see how he does without Winston and how he handles future player issues. As of right now I'd say he wouldn't be an automatic hire.

You go for him and 12 other top 10 coaches. They all want to be at LSU. The OT will tell you that we can name our coach and he is expected to just come running to Baton Rouge.

I honestly think Chip Kelly is the replacement at Alabama. Proven winning college coach. When he gets fired at Philly he'll go back to college. His strategy up there might have worked, but it required a franchise QB who they couldn't get. Mariota wasn't even th answer.

With the success that LSU has had recently in recruiting and not having an instate college to compete against, and a top tier school that can dish out the money.. I would think the short list would look like this: Gary Patterson, Gruden, Mora Jr, Kirby Smart, Jimbo, maybe a couple of others.
