Also, anyone know the story as to why the University of Oklahoma is called OU?

I know that no one has played a down yet, but is TCU really supposed to be that strong? Are they legit?

I like being anywhere from 11-15. I believe we started out both NC seasons there. And, in both cases I think we won due to steady, if not particularly outstanding, quarterback play.

And, I think if we can get steady QB play out of Harris, we can compete again this year.

If Jennings sees the field in anything but mop up duty, we are f*cked.

Ohio State is the first pre-season unanimous #1 in the history of the AP poll.

Incredible.

Does anyone understand what informs these preseason polls? They do have substantial potential influence on final rankings. No doubt about that. Given how LSU played last year finishing unranked, 14 seems, again, generous.

If they cannot have a much better offense offense than last year (read a legitimate passing game), then the odds are that they will finish the 2015 campaign unranked as well.

I watched the Florida game again and, wow, what a pathetically impotent offense it was. So often could not get out of its own way. Here's hoping...

I recall LSU being #14 in the 2003 preseason AP poll. And Phil Steele pegged us as a dark horse candidate to make a run at the BCSNC.

I'd be happy... I'm sure most would... if this year played out similarly.
