I'm sure I'll still see this movie, but that trailer wasn't any good.

Honestly, QT's best movie is Death Proof and I will stand by my words and defend my position.

Yeah I'm not sure what I'm supposed to be hyped about outside of it being a Tarantino flick.
It looks like the movie could be a mix between Reservoir Dogs and Django Unchained, which would be cool.

well, it is a teaser trailer, soooo....

Looks decent, I wont see it in theaters. I don't get the chance to see many anyway, and my son will be 3 months old. i'll be lucky to see Spectre and Star Wars.
I find it funny that he stole most of his plot. It is basically identical to a short story by Louis L'Amour. I'm trying to find/remember the name of it so ya'll can go read it. I just don't have time to read through all of his short story collections to find it. I have 105 Louis L'Amours, and probably half of them are short story collections.
In Louis' short story. 8 strangers, 7 men and 1 woman, seek shelter in a Stagecoach stop cabin, trying to escape a blizzard in the mountains. Including a murderer/thief who killed someone and took his place to get his hands on gold, and the lawman chasing him. Who, by the way, has no idea what the bad guy looks like and has to figure out which person is lying about who they are.
Sound familiar?
Tarantino, passing this off as your own idea...
There probably aren't very many of us alive who have read that story, especially someone younger like me. Tarantino thought he was getting away with one when he passed this off as his own original idea. I would love to hear someone call him on it in an interview.
Random Thought: I wonder if when he got butthurt and canceled it, before then rewriting it. He did that, NOT because it got leaked. But because when it did, the lawyers for the L'Amour family said he either needed to ask for permission and pay royalties, to use the story, or they would sue. I'm just spitballing there, I never read the original script. Maybe I need to find a synopsis of it....

Honestly, I hate the Kill Bill movies. They are my least favorite QT films.

Agreed.
Django was extremely sub-par for QT.

what kills me is the same people that bitch about a trailer showing too much, are usually the same ones that bitch about it not showing enough.
can't have it both ways you miserable bastards
and yes, I am not being completely serious here, but there is some truth in what i said also.

Django is many things, but pandering isn't one of them. I mean, it essentially wants us to cheer as we murder all the white people and let's be honest, that's the intended audience. You can call that something, but pandering it ain't. (Kill Bill was pandering as hell to his fan base, though, which is why its far and away his worst film)
Why should we be excited? Because it has Kurt Russell in a western, and the last time we had that, we got Tombstone. And that was directed by a hack who may or may not have been fired during production so Russell took over production as the uncredited director. Maybe. Russell belongs in a western (as do Tim Roth and Michael Madsen).
The return of Jennifer Jason Leigh to good movies! Walton Goggins and Zoe Bell! And Bruce f'n Dern. Oh, and we're going to essentially lock all of these actors together in a room and let them bounce Tarantino-penned dialogue off one another. Well, until Sam Jackson shoots them. Seriously, what is NOT to like?
Screw Star Wars. This is the movie I'm waiting for.

Actually, it could be. I mean, no one has seen it yet, so we don't know how crappy or good it will be.
Posted on 8/12/15 at 1:54 pm to mizzoukills
It's a statement to how bad Django was. Don't take everything so literally.

Woah, hello Kurt Russell. It has been a long time.
I'll wait until this is out on streaming. But I'm sure it'll be good. I'm not as big of a fan of QT as many of you are.
