Mett had 3 years in the LSU system before he blossomed

Cam Cameron has a history of coaching and developing great QBs, but people forget that he also tried to win with the likes of Trent Green, Cleo Lemon, John Beck, Jordan Jefferson, and Jarrett Lee.
Maybe, just maybe Cam's one terrible season with the Dolphins had something to do with Nick Saban leaving behind a depleted roster.

Meanwhile, the team has to completely start over, new system, new coaches, the quarterback situation is a huge question mark, the defense is old, the secondary is mediocre, the receivers are overrated

Lee & Jefferson last season was 2011-12. Cam wasn't hired on until the beginning of 2013. Get your facts together.

That's the best statement on this thread Mett's arm A+ /Harris arm A-... Harris mobility A / Mett mobility D+

Mett showed serious promise in the second half of 2012, though. Especially so in the Bama game. We didn't see anything like the progression Mett made in his first starting season in Jennings last year. Not bashing Jennings necessarily, but they're really not comparable. Also Mett practiced with OBJ and Landry almost every day during the entire summer of 2013. Jennings has not been able to do so with Dural and Dupre, or anyone on the LSU roster for that matter.

Great arm, great receivers to throw to, and Mett improved tremendously from his junior to senior year. Maybe we'll see this kind of improvement in Harris? I think a lot of people forget just how much offense we lost from 2013 to 2014. I think they also forget how much we bring back this year.
God damn.......... No

I still say that is the dumbest gif on this site. "Nice weight transfer"....."But still gets a ton on the throw". No shite. That's like saying. "He did everything right, and despite that, everything worked out correctly".

Mett was as a accurate as they come with the short to intermediate routes. His ball placement was second to none. I actually think BH6 throws a better deep ball, puts more air under it, tighter spiral.

I was thinking the same thing. It's not like he was throwing it off his back foot

I have to disagree some with this. Met was a fairly polished passer when he came, but still had work to do. Even in his first year, Mett was always reasonably accurate, but he did throw interceptions, and take some sacks. No doubt with experience, dedication, and hard work, he improved leaps and bounds. Harris has the talent, but had further to go as far as footwork, technique, accuracy, reads, progressions, knowing the offense. It appears that Harris has turned that corner, and I expect him to do well. If he puts in the time, before he leaves LSU, he can be better than Mett.

I sure got a lot of down votes for people to end up agreeing that they have quite a few similarities. I really think that Cameron will have all of our quarterbacks playing much better than last season.

Obviously you do not know who was offensive coordinator in 2011 beachdude.

I didn't post the gif for the poor added "breakdown". I posted it because I mentioned the tight spiral Harris throws & that gif is a prime example of that type of spiral. That pass was more of touch pass than anything else. It wasn't meant to have a ton of heat on it so that it would drop into the receivers hands & over the DB's head.

Everybody forgets that the main reason for Mett's big improvement between Jr and Sr year was that he went from having Stud as OC to Cam.
Harris and AJ have been under Cam their entire time here.
