re: Does the thought of love depress you?

you know what true love feels like?
an awesome fart.
it's a big frigging relief and makes you feel relaxed.
all those passionate emotions are usually anxiety about what that person thinks of you or if you are good enough.
if two people click, they aren't worried about all that.
and that, my friend, is love.

Better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all

so I'm not sure how to help.
Actually, I didn't start the thread in search of help. I simply wanted to know if other people on this board had experienced depression in connection with the thought of being loved, or being in love.
I imagined I might get one or two affirmatives, but in fact my questions have proven to be entirely alien to those who have responded.
Anyway, it's quite nice of you to offer help, but none is needed. I'm currently in quite a good state of mind and living a happy life, thank you.

A few in here said that it was the same avi used by another member, so I decided to change it.

This. It is exciting and scary at the same time.

Me too. But at least this one has my hair color.

Say you meet a really fine woman, one that you're quickly attracted to--emotionally, sexually, the whole thing.
..because you know that she is way above your pay grade and will dump you as soon as she finds someone better.
You're depressed because you're average, brah.

Ah yes. I know which one you're talking about. That one had to be changed because it had movement. I like that one too.
