Not many surprises here, although the cutting of SJB would just be the icing on the cake that was a complete failure in last year's draft.
Thoughts?

I don't see how they can justify keeping McCown on the roster.

I've been predicting for weeks that Grayson will beat out Griffin easily and next year move into the backup role.

This would be so funny and so sad at the same time, and would easily make him one of the bigger all-time busts based on the spot selected and playing time contributed.

I was thinking the same thing. Wouldn't cutting McCown and keeping RG4 save us some money?
Also, hope Austin Johnson can stay healthy. He was great last year when he was!!

How can they possibly be ok with cutting Foster and keeping McCown? It's a wasted roster spot. If Brees goes down, McCown isn't giving you anything.

I don't want to live in a world with no Morgan on the team.

I didn't know Golic was playing for a spot..

I don't see how they cut Griffin or Jalen Saunders....Saunders was a good return man last season.

some tough cuts when you break it down
Griffin- i know how much they've held out hope on him
Lorig- multi dimensional hybrid
Glen Foster- really impressed me in preseason and limited regular season action.
SBJ- 2nd round pick, enough said
questions for me.
do we keep 3 QBs?
4 tackles?
5 safeties? do we try and trade one of them?
6 OLB? are all 6 of those guys rosterable?
is Ramon Humber still needed after adding Anthony and Ellerbe? esp when we can pull special teasers from our safety and OLB groupings.
is Orson Charles good enough to where we can keep 3 TEs? I know he has played some FB. Could he make Austin Johson expendable then?

Because Griffin doesn't have a future on this roster. If you watched the 2 minutes drills you'll see why McCown is the back-up. He's a viable back-up

Jalen Saunders too, he's a kick returner trying to make a WR spot. Saints need WRs who can contribute in the passing game.

No way they keep 3 QB's
They kinda have to, no way will Grayson be ready if something were to happen to Brees. McCown can at least move the offense and win games.

Galette will be suspended so SBJ will be kept around a little longer.

Only part I disagree with. If Brees' goes down I doubt winning games is at the top of the list. If he goes down then run the ball a ton and get a high draft pick. Winning games at that point would only hurt the Saints.

There are going to be some tough cuts at WR, CB, DT, and DE. Going to be interested to see how those battles play out.

After last season, the coaches can't afford that nor are they thinking this way.
