What's your most overrated beer/brewery?

We have a lot of best beer type threads here. Now it's time to rustle some jimmies.
What beer and/or brewery do you find overrated? Maybe it's a beer that gets unbelievable hype and doesn't live up to it, or maybe a brewery with a great reputation that you don't understand.
Using the Beer Advocate Top 250, I'd go with The Abyss by Deschutes as my most overrated. Every time I open one, I am underwhelmed. Bell's Hopslam gets an honorable mention, because people go apeshit for it, and it's a big malt bomb.
As far as breweries go, I know this is heresy here, but Jester King just doesn't do live up for me. Yes, they've had some beers I've enjoyed, but you're not going to find me trading for their stuff or geeking out over one of their limited releases.
Whatcha got?

Not that any are highly ranked, but don't get much out of any of Bayou Teche or Tin Roof beers.

Most overrated beer, for me, is Pliny. I get why its beloved. It was one of the first DIPAs and was held as a standard for the style for so long. But nowadays there are so many better DIPAs out there.
most overrated brewery is hard...I'm going to have to think about that one

Probably a good argument. I still think it's a great DIPA though, and won't ever say no to it.

My problem with JK is access. I've had Black Metal (pre-french yeast) and Noble King, and they were fantastic. I also had commercial suicide and thought it was terrible. So, the jury is still out for me, with JK, but from the one's i've had, 2/3 were fantastic.
I'm not big on Goose Island BCBS. I love stouts, but i don't care for barrel aged stouts. They are too boozy to me. I like to taste the chocolate, coffee notes and not have to contend with bourbon flavors in my beer. I prefer my bourbon by itself. I'm not saying it's overhyped, its just not a personal fav. It also has to be the right time of year, cold, by a fire with a cigar in my hand.
Most overhyped beer to me, is Duchess de Borgoyne. I really don't like that beer at all.

Beer: Yellow Rose... not saying it's bad... it's just nothing amazing. I anticipate trying it again Saturday so maybe I'll change my stance.

for most overrated brewery I'll probably have to go with Bruery
I love some of their beers, but I've had so many misses by them as well

Russian River. It's such a freaking scene in there. Not worth the wait IMO.

They were #2 for me, and I almost mentioned them. At the price point, I don't get the love.

One of the things I really like about them is how much they experiment. Bound to make some bad beers when you do that.

yeah I definitely commend them for that
but like B said, at the price point, I always find myself second guessing if I should buy since its pretty much 50/50 if I'm going to love it or hate it

I would be with you last year. I didn't understand the hype. I thought it was great, but there were so many other ipa's. But, as my taste buds come full circle concerning IPA's, i tend to agree with Pliny being ranked at the top. It is clean, not too malty, not too bitter, and the hop notes are distinguishable. It's just a well done all around beer.
I know this may earn some ridicule from others but....
I lover Ghost. I think it's the best IPA done in the south, but... I know it's heresy, but i think they could tone down some of the hops a little, for my taste. I believe i've said it before, but if they could maybe reduce the amount of Amarillo and balance it out a little, i think it would be more enjoyable for me. Again, i'd trade nearly anything in my fridge for a Ghost, and will scramble on release day to multiple stores to find some, i just don't think it is quite perfect yet. It's getting close, but still needs some slight fine tuning.

CBS
Bomb
Westy (mainly because there are just as good trappist that get no where near the hype)
I'm not sure if Mikkeller can be called overrated, but they are continually the biggest disappointment. Even though they make some good beers.

I agree with that, it's hard to swallow $20 a bottle for something you never had before.
