For me:
1. Goblet of Fire
2. Half Blood Prince
3. Prisoner of Azkaban
4. Deathly Hallows
5. Chamber of Secrets
6. Sorcerer's Stone
7. Order of the Phoenix
1. Goblet of Fire
2. Half Blood Prince
3. Prisoner of Azkaban
4. Deathly Hallows
5. Chamber of Secrets
6. Sorcerer's Stone
7. Order of the Phoenix

I definitely agree that Phoenix is last. I really feel as though it didn't matter to the story (obviously certain events were big, but it felt like most of the prophecy stuff didn't really matter).

Order of the Phoenix is easily my favorite of the entire series. You get to finally see Harry being badass. He teaches the other students and holds his own better than anyone in the battle in the end. The movie did a terrible job of showing all of that.

I understand that. I just think we didn't need to waste time talking about getting everyone to believe voldemort's return and on the prophecy. Horcrux stuff should have started earlier.

I pretty much agree but switch Prisoner of Azkaban and Half Blood Prince

Harry was really bad for most of Order of the Phoenix and it made the entire book a chore to get through. The others didn't feel like that at all

Well it's explained at the end and is a major plot point.
1. Deathly Hallows
2. Half Blood Prince (I love all the exposition on Voldemort)
3. Prisoner of Azkaban
4. Order of the Phoenix
5. Goblet of Fire
6. Philosopher's Stone #hipster
7. Chamber of Secrets

It's been a while since I've read through all 7, but I remember enjoying Goblet of Fire more than the others. I flew through that book, and it was the first of the 7 that came in "mega-size"
I remember not really caring for Chamber or Prisoner.

Like ranking children since I loved them all. I really enjoyed with they started getting into Voldemort's past more and Harry became a badass. I couldn't put those top 3 down till I finished

Let's see. Harry(who is 15 btw) begins this book having just witnessed a fellow classmate be brutally murdered before dueling Voldemort and seeing his parents in ghost form. After returning to the place where he once lived in a cupboard, he is attacked by dementors, threated to be thrown on the streets, and learned he might be expelled from the one place that is his home. Finally, after having no contact from any of his friends or other wizards, he learns of a secret organization attempting to stop Voldemort. Secret, because you know the whole Ministry of Magic is slandering Harry continuously calling him a liar.
After having been the only wizard with the balls to face Voldy like a man countless times, he learns he isn't allowed to know any strategies or anything for that matter. The closest thing he has ever had to a father is miserable locked inside 24/7 while Harry is shipped back to school. Harry is having recurring nightmares where he inside the head of the most dangerous man in the world leaving his mentor to not even look him in the eyes much less have an actual conversation with him(not that Dumbledore will actually reasonably explain this to Harry).
Harry learns he is an outcast at Hogwarts. His own bunk mate Seamus Finnagin believes him to be a crazy egotistical liar. He is forced to attend a class where he is repeatedly called a liar only to have it scarred into his hand every night. His only getaway from this is quidditch which is soon taken away from him. And after all this he is forced to take occulmency lessons with the one person who knows how to make his life even more miserable(frick snape).
I could go on but frankly I'm tired of typing. Harry was far from a "emo little bitch" but I get that this is popular to say on the internet.
TLDR: Harry was going through some shite man

He very much was an emo little bitch. But a lot of it was due to the presence of Voldemort in his mind. He was always angry, and being that age and going through what he went through in the tournament made it that much worse.

You would make a great therapist.
Harry- A few months ago I witnessed the man who murdered my parents and tried to murder me 3 times come back to life and murder a classmate. I escaped after seeing my his last kills in ghost form. I have been secluded from any human contact other than the family who once kept me in a cupboard.
You- Stop being a little emo bitch

He was snapping at Ron and Hermione constantly for no reason, and even he admitted it. I agree that he went through some crap, but he was moody from beginning to end in that book. It was a rough ride. Especially at the end when Hermione is trying to convince him to at least see if Sirius is still at the hideout before they run off to the Ministry. You understood Harry's urgency, but all the evidence pointed to it being a planted vision, and you couldn't talk sense into him.

He did try to see if Sirius was home and Kreacher lied to him. Couple that with most of his visions coming true, he made a decision. Snape was the real frick up. Who cares if Umbridge knows you're with Dumbledore. You know Harry will make a rash decision and fall into Voldys trap. You stop him!
