I'm about to keep calm and get back to studying
Eta: I'm not saying anything bad about the guy. Cancer sucks. Cancer treatments suck. There are some promising advancements as of late. Hopefully everything ends up being okay for him
The stickers are still dumb

Maybe as a pediatrician he could use this to point the fingers at big medicine and big pharma who work on ways to get the most lucrative treatments rather than work for the cure. Barely any money goes into viral pathogen cancer treatment or other attempts at a cure.
I was talking to a friend's wife yesterday, she just had a double mastectomy and was told her insurance is not going to pay for her Chemo pills anymore even though she has to take them for three more years. That is $5,000 a month she will have to come out of pocket because of people who live only to make the maximize profit off of others suffering. I hate the concept of for profit treatment.
Hospitals don't care about patients, they care about the profits. Same with pharmaceutical companies, there is no money in a cure.
So prayer is all that's left and it's sad.

Can't stress enough how great Keith and Jennifer are. My kids are in school with their and they are very committed to the school, church, community, and of course the business.
Super great family and its awesome to see 25% of the car in east Metairie with these magnets.

He has 6 kids and may not walk any of this daughters up the aisle or play with his grandkids, douchebag. How do you think they feel? This guy has given more to his community, friends, and family than anyone I know. You are a sick frick for critizing a few who choose to support him this way. IT SHOULD NOT CONCERN YOU IN ANY WAY SO SHUT THE frick UP.

You're the dumbass who thinks the quote originated from the chive. Check out British WWII history when you get back to studying.

Why would you assume a blog? Maybe family members and friends with cancer have led me to look into other options. The most promising of which being Viral pathogens which gets little funding.
How does one here know anything? Usually through reading. That said I rarely read "blogs".
Since Polio, which big disease has been "cured", there are vaccines and treatments, you don't see "cures".

You still have to vaccinate for polio, don't you?

yes, but it's wiped out from the western world completely.

I guess I just don't understand why say it's cured while making a distinction between vaccinating and curing. It doesn't exist here because we vaccinate. There is no "cure" for polio.

Why would I assume? Because you're not in the medical field. You still didn't answer. How do you know it gets little funding. There are over 200 ongoing or recently completed clinical trials for only ONE viral drug used in the treatment of various cancers.
Modern medicine cures things everyday. Surgery cures a whole hell of a lot. People are walking out of the hospital everyday because they were cured from their illness. Sure, we'd all like to cure more chronic diseases but to say that there are only treatments and vaccines (which is still a big feat and shouldn't be taken for granted) is foolish. Who did they blame for not having a cure during the hundreds of years that polio was infecting people?
