The Hondas and Toyotas of today aren't as reliable as the ones in the 90's. When they started building them in America they went down. If you decide to get one anyways look at the first number in the Vin. If it's a J get it. If it's a number like 1,2,or 3 run. The J means it was built in Japan
This. My dad owns a 2013 Corolla and it's a TPOS.

The scion Xb is made in Japan. I have one and love mine. It's a useful car. It's not flashy or cool but it's useful and reliable and everyone that rides in mine loves it. It has a lot of room, great pickup and has a good size storage area if you fold down the seats.

Also, it's 20k out the door and it has Bluetooth and steering wheel controls as a standard feature.

You can get a loaded Rav4 for around 30. I love mine even though it's a total soccer mom car. It's comfortable, gets great gas mileage and has a ton of space. I've driven across the country in it, I can do outdoor stuff all the time and the 4wd is really useful.

Read an article about getting a car that would make it to 200000 miles. Ten vehicles rated to get there, five Hondas, five toyotas. They continue to stand the test of time no matter where they are made.

A 2/3 year old Acura Sedan with less than 24k miles on CarMax. You get the performance and the entry level luxury and some other guy took the depreciation. Especially if you push the 30,000 price pint.

Chevy Colorado crew cab can be bought necely equiped just under 30k. It hauls arse, tows tons and gets great mileage for a truck. (It will only do one of those at a time.)

My last "shevy" had 243K trouble free miles before I passed it on down to my son and it still runs great after 13 years.

You're married and your dad is buying you a car?

I've been married three weeks, and my dad has always promised my sister and me that he would buy our first brand new car after we graduated college. Sorry I have a cool arse pops. Dick.

That's a waste of money. Buy used with 30-50k miles on it and you'll get a better value and car. New cars are the biggest waste of money people just blindly accept.

Sensitive much bro?

Yeah, Justin Bieber has a "cool arse pops" too.

Nothing like making a lifelong decision before you can buy yourself a car.

What kind of apartment did he get y'all? Or do y'all just stay in his house since he's so cool?

Bitch.

I would get the new Hyundai Sonata Limited in black. You can get a brand new one for that price and they have the best warranty around.

Many cars will do that. I have a '99 Sierra and an '06 LS430 that are both over 250,000 miles and look and drive as well as ever. I don't fuss over them much at all. Oil changes probably every 7,000 miles. I drive many, many miles per year and see no reason to put those on a new car.

You sure is mad.

I don't think you're understanding things. It's not that I can't afford a new car. It's the fact that since I was younger my dad has always said that he would buy my sister and me new cars when we graduated college. This is him keeping that promise. Just because I'm married I shouldn't accept?

And not that it's any of your business, but I pay for my rent and bills with the money the Air Force pays me each month to attend medical school.

Bitch.
