This is an older article….but I thought it was worth revisiting. Now that the renovations are complete, I hope Tiger Stadium can remain one of college football's greatest venues and not slide toward the NFL/NBA/etc.

Tiger rag has been back for 2 years.

I don't mind Neck and sometimes it's awesome, but it's not like it's some revered Tiger Stadium tradition.

I am with you. Don't let it happen. Piped in music sucks out loud, pun intended. Let the band play. I want to vomit every time some rapcrap or countrycrap comes blaring out of the PA. The only thing I want to hear out of the PA is the announcer and Mike giving a roar. The rest is nothing but fresh dog crap on fans shoes.

Neck (by itself) may not be a "tradition" but everything that happens in Tiger stadium that makes it a special place (pre game, neck, first down cheer, etc) is a tradition is a tradition. The atmosphere in Tiger Stadium is now quite different than it was 10 - 15 years ago. A large part of this change is because things like Neck, All of the Lights, etc. have been removed from the band's play list. It is quite simple…..bring back Neck, All of the Lights, etc……and the older, more electric atmosphere we all miss will return!!!!
