Does the new 2016 Honda Pilot look too much like a mini van?

Looking at getting the old ball and chain a new SUV and the Pilot Touring comes with a lot of features for $40k. However, we are trying to figure out if the new body style looks too much like an mini van. No pics of wife but here's the car…

The newer Pilot's have always looked kind of large. Aren't they built around a car platform? They look closer to a crossover type vehicle than an SUV.

That's a damn shame.
The Honda Pilot was one of the few crossovers that still looked like an SUV but now it looks like every other crossover "SUV" that is built on a car chassis.

My wife got one. I wasn't too happy but she had an Acadia and that car was a hunk of shite and had to go. Transmission went out on it at 66 k.

We looked at them. Insides are nice but could not sell me on the new look. Just not my style.
