Really wanted him to head to Dallas.
FIFY Guess that means I have to hope for Wesley Matthews and that achilles stays intact
They could still sign LMA as well. Would have to get rid of Splitter and would depend on if Green/Leonard's contracts are backloaded. Have to remember, Duncan's $10+ mil comes off the books after next year and he likely retires or signs for much less

Been a relativity slow morning. Kind of disappointing
The NBA FA is kind of like that. There's an explosion the first night at 12:01, and then things get a bit slow. The moratorium, and a lot of guys take a bunch of visits.
The NFL Is a bit crazier at the start of FA, NBA lasts a little longer.

Ellis is a really good player, Aminu isn't

The Splitter/Haywood swap for Haywood's dead money is going to end up happening I get the feeling. I just don't put too much stock into teams "not having room" for players. There are too many loopholes and the league is too player driven for any destination to be off the table if a player wants to find a way to get there.
The division is going to be comical if both LMA and Jordan join it this offseason.

If SAS wants LMA they have to trade the Cavs splitter and Patty Mills and use the Haywood contract to free up space.
Only way unless they do a S&T with Portland which doesn't seem likely
As the above poster said. It's gonna happen. Cavs have all the leverage though and will want patty mills or Joseph as well

Why would anyone want to take on Splitter though, especially for that much?
I would think Cleveland could use Haywood's deal for something better

If Spurs pull all this off, even if it costs Splitter and Mills via trade, LOOK THE HELL OUT. HIDE YOUR CHILDREN. SPURS COMING FOR US ALL

After bringing back Danny Green, the Spurs are unloading Splitter's salary to the Hawks. Now, the Spurs go into Aldridge meeting with space.
frick THE SPURS

Also, what's going on with Atlanta? Letting Milsap walk and moving Horford to PF again?

Guess I'm the only one who isn't really scared by this.

What are they trading for? Picks and money?
Was really hoping the Cavs could get patty mills out of the Haywood deal
Furkkkkkk.
If they resign Kevin love they might end up just cutting Haywood instead of trading. He's always been just a backup plan

just takes a lot of pressure off the old guys to have another legit scoring option

Parker
Green
Leonard
Aldridge
Duncan
That's a starting 5 to get scared of. Whether Parker and Duncan can find that fountain of youth one more time remains to be seen

What are the Hawks giving up for the Spurs, you mean? Probably a fake 2nd rounder.
Posted on 7/1/15 at 10:59 am to THRILLHO
They matched the magics offer to milsap. Don't think they can take that back
Posted on 7/1/15 at 10:59 am to GeauxAggie972
Parker is done imo. Green? Meh average SG. The frontcourt will be legit but I don't think this makes them even top 2 in the West.
