Any of the OT own newer Jeep Wranglers? Specifically interested in the Unlimited 4 door models. Just curious how they drive and ride in everyday driving. Mine would rarely see off road but think it would be a fun toy for the family. I would commute the causeway with it 8 times a month or so.

It would be a terrible purchase for this purpose and you will be banned from the jeep wave.

They are very fun...but don't be that douche that gets a Jeep wrangler and puts a winch, lift, big tires and wheels....and never takes it off concrete.

Don't be that guy, cmon

Seriously they are fun and mine is my everyday driver and I find it comfortable. Have taken it on many long road trips with no issues. But if you are looking for good gas mileage...not the vehicle for you.

Love the 4 door.

The 3.8 is an underpowered pig.

The 3.6 is an underpowered pig that at least gives decent mileage.

Ride is better than 20 years agp, but a solid front axle is a solid front axle. It feels different.

They made the interiors WAY nicer than a jeep should ever be.

It was a toss up for me between a jeep and a pro4x. The price, ride, and power sent me in another direction.

Wife has a JK unlimited, 4wd (who knew they made them in 2wd now, crazy) soft top. She drives it across the causeway a few days a week, not horrible gas mileage, maybe 19 or so. We love it, take it to the beach or mountains or wherever we happen to be going that weekend. I would definitley recommend it.

I have a 2 door that great for city driving (especially with the terrible roads here ) and is fantastic for street parallel parking. At first I found it comfortable for longer trips, but lately it's been pretty uncomfortable, not sure what directly led to this, but I drove 26k miles my first year and thought it was great; I now have about 58k miles on it and hate the ride from New Orleans to Lafayette.

Anyway, it's generally a "fun" driver that we'll probably keep as a third vehicle. I wouldn't necessesarily use it as a daily driver if you have a long drive.

I have a 2014 4-Door Rubicon with a hard top. I traded in my truck when I bought it and its been a nice change up. It is very fun to drive and taking the doors and top off will make you feel like your driving a different vehicle.

I will say I miss my truck from time to time and gas mileage is not great. My jeep is still stock and I probably get 13-15 MPG city and maybe 16-18 highway.

and to agree with the OP, you can pretty much park anywhere you want. Having always driven a truck and occasionally being limited parking in some spaces, I have yet to have this problem in my jeep.
