I'm new to town. White. And I enjoy a hot foam shave.
Guide me, OT.

A good hairstylist will suffice, but I really enjoy the straight razor, hot foam shave I'm used to getting at the barber shop. My hair is a simple cut(I think). 3 on the sides, longer on top.

Hailey's Algie Barber Shop on Metairie Road.
It's a nice old-time barber shop with a good shave and good conversation -- unless you're really liberal.
ETA: An FYI, I believe for safety/health reasons, they use regular "new" razors rather than the old time razor you normally would think of with an old time barber shop.

S & B on power. Ask for Brazile.. Definitely a language barrier but the guy makes you feel like a king.
If he's busy...
Go to perrys on airline (across street from zephyr stadium).

How much do they charge and is it crazy busy on Saturdays?

I'll answer since this is near my house. I believe they charge $15, and I'm sure it gets busy on Saturdays (like most barbers). I go during the week. But there are 5 barbers woring, so if you're not there to see a particular one it shouldn't take long.

West Napoleon Barber Shop, near Transcontinental Drive.Haircut is seven dollars and includes a hot lather straight razor trim of the neck and around the ears.
Don't know what they charge for a full shave. A beard and moustache trim is fourteen dollars.

i used to go there when I lived in Metairie... they got too expensive.
see if they have the place in the same strip mall as Stepbrother's, by West Napoleon and Transcontinental

That's the place I recommended.
Used to go to Frank at Clearview as well, but yes, expensive.
Mel in the middle has a heavy hand, but a good haircut.
