No it isn't. Chances are better than good that they told him prior to today. They don't make an official roster move until today because why include someone on their roster yesterday when he isn't going to pitch until today?

No kidding. So why, if a team is going to bring a guy up from AAA (that isn't occupying one of the spots on the 25 man roster currently) to pitch on Thursday night, would they add him to the roster on Wednesday night? That would be absolutely retarded.

Teams call pitchers up to spot start all the time, and they always do it that day, otherwise they'd be wasting a roster spot forthe few dayshe's not being used. I don't think y'all understand what he's trying to educate you on...
