I had a battle with it all over my body this week, including on my junk, face, and a nasty spot that made my elbow look like the snatch of a prop stop princess.

For treatment, I DO recommend getting a cortisone shot at your Doc's office. I DO NOT recommend spraying with brake parts cleaner. Now ya know fellas.

Not laughing at your infirmity, but your descriptions.

Somebody was either joking with you hardcore or just plain hates you.

How does the cortisone help? I've had poison ivy many times (including once when it covered my face and shut my left eye), but never had a cortisone shot.

If you want +/- 8 hours relief from the itching, assuming the cortisone didn't take care of that, try the hot water treatment.

I think the brake parts cleaner is for before your body has had a chance to react.

When I was younger I would get poison ivy pretty often and a little Clorox poured in the bath water always took care of it. I can rub up on poison ivy now and it doesn't do anything to me anymore which is probably the best thing ever.
