Lebron, Anthony Davis, Steph Curry, James Harden, Westbrook, or Durant?

I would take Anthony Davis all day...

Hands down LeBron and would never look back. He makes the Pelicans an instant Finals team even if the rest of the team stays the same.

This thread will be 90% Lebron, and that is completely understandable. He's amazing.

But because of age and we are talking about a redraft, its a harder question that some would make it out to be.

Davis

Lebron is going to decline in the next few years while Davis is about 3 years from hitting his prime and he is already 1st team all nba.

Depends on the conditions, if you lock the player up long term, AD, for next season or two only, definitely Lebron.

I'd take lebron. I feel like any team with lebron is guaranteed at least one championship before he retires. AD is incredible but I don't know if he is a lock to win a title anytime soon

I'm taking guaranteed success now over possible success in the future. Lebron every day and twice on sunday

Pretty dumb question.

Of course if you're looking down the road in building a team around a star, you take the guy that is in his early 20s, even though he is not really all that close to being the franchise impact player LeBron James currently is.

If my goal is to win, and win now, I take LeBron for next few years and put myself in position to be an instant contender. You know what you'll get, and that is a guy that can make an average team into a very good team. I can't say the same about Davis. Not because he can't be that player, but he just hasn't shown it to the level of a LeBron yet.

Lebron. Best player and also GOAT recruiter. He will bring other superstars with him.

AD is great but he can't do it by himself like Lebron can

Your whole premise is flawed in that it doesn't take into account how the rest of a team's roster is filled out. If I have the first pick in the first round, do I also get the first pick in the second, etc.? Or does the draft order reverse for successive rounds? If I get the first pick of each round, then I am taking Lebron knowing I'm going to get another elite type player to pair him with as the first pick in the second round, and the most solid contributors available in each successive round. I can take youth into account beginning in the second round. I can have a championship contending team for as long as Lebron remains healthy, which could easily be 5-6 years. And that is long-term in sports.
