This shite about taking kids to multiple countries by time they are 6 is laughable....do the people saying this shite even have kids? My 2 year old has been cross country a few times, Hawaii and flights within California. Trust me, traveling with kids is no fricking joke. Try flying a 3 year old transatlantic to see some ancient civilizations....I am sure they will love it far more than Mickey fricking mouse smh....

People have a freakishly unhealthy obsession with Disney. I don't get it. I am an adult with no children. I have no desire to go there but friends beg to go every year. Grow the eff up! I am sure I will eventually give in and go once but they better appreciate it because it wont happen again. The worst are the people who post constant Disney memes on Facebook about how they wish they were there and start countdowns and shite to their Disney vacation. Sick sick people.

I love hotel rooms. When I go on vacation I love if there is a day where I can just stay in the room and watch TV all day and only leave to walk to the vending machines.
Your post makes sense now.

Maybe the state should step in and take their kids away for their own safety. What do you think, you pretentious frick? Who cares, maybe the kids like it. Stop worrying about what other people do and worry about you own life. It really is too short to worry about anyone else's.

No offense, but that's a pretty dumb idea.

Isn't fig week sometime in June at Disney world? You world travelers ought to take your kids to that, would be different.

I only said my future kid will have a passport stamped by like 7 or so. I wanna go back to Costa Rica one day and would want to take my kid there with me. I actually saw many American families there when I went, the young kids I saw seemed to be having a good time
Going to CR with a 6 year old is much different than touring historical sites in Europe with a 6 year old.

Getting married there/honeymooning there would not be something I would be even remotely interested in doing.
Well someone disagrees with you since Disney World is one the biggest wedding and honeymoon destinations on the planet.

Louisiana people love Disney. Seen it once, seen it all imo.

Right... That was my point. People do it.. and it isn't something I would be remotely interested in..

Trust me on this. Your opinions on parenting will change drastically once you have a child. I knew everything about what kind of parent I would be....then I had one and realized what a jackass I sounded like telling people how I would do things differently.

I just want to still travel that's all. I have friends who have kids and still travel a lot and I always admired that about them.
One of my friends is this hippie yoga pediatric nurse I used to work with. She just posted pics from some outdoor festival they went to with her baby in a sling(with headphones on baby). Camping out at a music fest.....with a baby A lil too extreme imo....but I gotta admire her for doing her thing.

Friends of ours -- husband from NOLA, wife from Brazil, they met in London and moved back to London for her to have the baby.
They've lived in NYC, LA, and currently reside in Vegas. They vacationed just a few months ago in Sri Lanka and China. Wife and baby are in Brazil right now actually.
Go back to London constantly to visit friends and whatnot. Baby has tri-citizenship. Oh, and husband bartends at a famous Vegas strip club and wife models. So.. yeah, I think it's awesome. That little girl will grow up to be extremely cultured. She NEVER EVER EVER cries or whines or anything (she's 2 now, I believe). Nobody is a stranger to her.. all because she has been exposed to so many people from so many countries her whole life thusfar.

Living in Vegas is only second to Orange County, CA for me.

Seems fun. The housing market is dirt cheap.. you always have good concerts and whatnot when you want a fun night out.. pool parties all summer..
People talk about how there is not much to the city beyond the strip, but it isn't like we come from a mecca of entertainment in Baton Rouge

You can still travel, take the baby to a music festival or whatever you choose. But at a certain point you have to ask yourself if that is what's best for you or your child. We have a passport for our toddler but when I consider a 8+ hour flight and a destination that would seem unremarkable for her I realize that trip isn't for my family it's for me. We haven't done Disney, but our last vacation was a week of the San Diego zoo and sea world.....exotic? No, but my daughters eyes lit up every single day. Priorities I guess.

Lots of outdoorsy stuff to do also nearby(hiking, mountain biking). Got Lake Mead nearby and Grand Canyon not too far away.
Friends of ours that live in Utah may be moving to Vegas for a job transfer. We are hoping they go cause we would go visit them often (Vegas is a 5 hour drive from us).

My thoughts when I treked across London and Paris 4 years ago. Boy sure glad I didn't take the kids here.
Europe is beautiful but honestly I don't think kids under 16 would appreciate anything there.

We haven't been to Europe yet and it will be our next big trip we take(whenever that is). Whenever we do finally go.....trust me that trip will be a romantic kid free anniversary trip. Grandparents can watch the child.
All hypothetical situations anyways. Gotta have a kid first. For all I know I could not be able to have a child and then all of my trips would have to be child free
