WHY in the hell does somebody go to Disney every year? That's the real question.

I don't get it either but to each his own. My kids have been twice and we are contemplating a third time this summer. The kids do have fun there. However, my kids are relatively well travelled (@13 states, Canada, Mexico and Europe) and we are trying to make sure they have a variety of experiences.

When I have a kid they will have a passport with actual stamps from foreign countries in it by the time they are 6-7.

That's smart. Take them to Countries they will never remember or truly enjoy because they were too young.

Yep. When the kids were young we did Disney, weeks at Myrtle Beach and a cruise from time to time. Now that they're much older we do real trips with them.

Went shopping for our Disney Cruise next week. Only the essentials.

..Nice...I see someone likes margaritas..

I had several this past week.. Mizners Lounge at the Grand Floridian got a bunch of my money..

Damn Ritas were nearly 20 bucks a pop... Though they were using 100 dollar a bottle tequila..

It's one of the few drinks the wife and I both like

Not that it's a rita, but have you ever tried the Tipsy Ducks in Love from China?

I never want mine to end...

It's one of the few alcoholic drinks they still free pour, very generously.

Yep. Best part of a Disney cruise. You can bring as much liquor as you can carry on and they give you a fridge. My wife and I just got back from our 5th Disney cruise. We are also the people that go to Disney world once a year or close to it. Personally I like the cruises better than Disney world. We are dvc members. I can't wait to go to Hawaii.

We went on a Disney cruise without kids and really enjoyed it. It will be very high on our list of places to go with kids in the future.

It's part of why it is so expensive. The fact that they let you bring alcohol on board and don't have a casino costs them ALOT of revenue. But, for what you get in return it is money well spent in my opinion.

Tipsy duck FTMFW.

We tried it before it was a menu item, my eyes got huge when I watched them pour it

We told them how good it was and the manager of the little cart gave us a bunch of free red bean ice cream lol

Yep. I laugh at people when they say cruises are trashy. Of course carnival is. You get what you pay for. Disney cruises cost a lot but they are top notch. And you get to enjoy a fire work show one of the nights (no other cruise can do that) and you get to visit a private island.

Yeah, some people think its cool to dress their whole family in purple and gold from head to toe and go to LSU stuff all year.

And as an added bonus, do the exact same thing at Disney.

I don't get it, but I don't understand the general public in pretty much every way.

Every trip is different. Going there and not staying on property at a nice hotel is not as fun. Going when it's 100 degrees is not as fun. Going when the crowds are bad, not as fun. Not getting a dining plan and eating shite the whole trip is not as fun. Not planning ahead to get your reservations and your fast passes straight is not as fun. But you go with a family who has been, or use a travel agent, and it'll be great.

We went there one time, and a large group was making trouble, making noise at the pools past 2am after security had run them out. We complained, which we never do, with hopes of being moved to a different area away from the pools. This was day 3 of a 10 day trip. When we got back from the parks that day, they arranged to have us moved to another property, which was $325 a night more expensive and comp'ed the difference for all 7 nights. What other place would do that? We go on two or three vacations a year, and shite happens all the time, we get sick, injured, etc. Disney is the place that will make it right, all you have to do is ask.
