Tom Hanks, maybe. But I saw The Terminal on TV yesterday, and he is really good in that. Like he actually seems foreign and not Tom Hanks.

Is William hurt highly thought of? I would say Hopkins is the most overrated out of that list. Most of the films he has been in are shite. He is basically a one hit wonder.

We had this thread about a month ago and people that put Hanks on this list are fricking morons. Guy has played many diverse characters and hit home runs on most of them. Unreal that he is even mentioned....one of the best actors of all time.

Streep
You lose!
Dude, not only is Streep slightly overrated, she is the single most overrated actor of the past 20 years.

Matthew McConnaughey- Solid actor but you would think he was prime Robert DeNiro with the sheer number of great roles he's been getting lately
Morgan Freeman- He's basically played the same role as the wise old man for the last 25 years. The last time he showed any versatility as an actor was when he played a pimp in Street Smart which came out all the way back in 1987.
George Clooney- Never understood how he got to be such a big star, can be charming at times but is pretty limited as an actor
Kevin Spacey
Samuel L. Jackson

Clooney is so overrated

Kevin Spacey is great. House of Cards and the Usual Suspects.
I think he's as good as Deniro. Fantastic in True Detective and Interstellar.

I think he's a good actor, but am not quite sure how highly he's rated on that's front. But he is undoubtedly one of the great movie stars of all time, likely top 5-10. If you count his producing/directing, I'd say there's an argument for him being the best actor/movie star/director/producer in Hollywood history. Anyone who could have a thought pass their feeble mind of his being overhyped, is a mind too dull to engage in. In his field, he is a giant. A giant of giants.

At the same time, I love Tom Hanks. Have so way back to Bosom Buddies, bachelor Party, and Splash. I absolutely adore him. Philadelphia took him to another level to me. But Forest Gump seemed to raise him to deity status, and I just never got it. One, I think,it's a tremendously overrated film--and I blame Zemeckis for that--but it seemed to raise Hanks to untouchable status. He's an alll-time great, and one of my favorites--but he's not as good as he's seemed to be hyped. And good Lord, there's no way he could be.
