At South Carolina baseball games, the security staff actually will find random seats for people to sit in. They pretty much encourage sitting in random seats.

Happens to me a good bit during baseball season. The only real problem I had this year was when a younger group took up all the seats to the side of me. They had another group of 3 guys walk up and someone said "we can squeeze yall in". I said "we aren't squeezing shite".

I used to have season tickets for the Saints. This used to happen frequently enough. I would say, "excuse me. Those are our seats." But I would think, "you stupid, scumbag frick trying to steal someone else's seats. Sit in the seats you paid for, a-hole." It wasn't worth actually saying what I was thinking. They always moved quickly enough.

Ummmm...why wouldn't you sit in your own seat that you paid for? Are you some kind of little bitch?

after the first quarter of any event (end of 2nd or 3rd inning), then it becomes open game. However, even if someone comes in in the 9th inning or 4th quarter and politely tells me I'm in their seat and shows me the ticket I'll move.

This

Never had any trouble, have had people in my seats, and been in others and always polite, and the person in the wrong always moves.

This happens to me every single time in Tiger Stadium. I usually get to my seats about 10 minutes before kickoff. It goes like this every single time-
Me- excuse me, you're in my seats
Them- no I'm not.
Me- Yes... You are.
Them- Well, someone is in my seats.
Me- I don't care. Move.

Every time. Without exception.

This is a big problem in tiger stadium or any stadium with bleachers that gets packed. Fatties can't fit in their designated bleacher seat area and the overflow screws up everyone. Especially when it's multiple fatties. Also families try to squeeze in family members without tickets on that row.

It's easier to deal with at baseball games or any game with chair back seats because everyone has a designated seat to sit in. Not just a bleacher.

I can't imagine just plopping down in seats that aren't mine at the beginning of a game. After a quarter of a football game or a few innings in a baseball game, it's not that big of a deal. But I'm not going to do it right away and just hope these people aren't coming. If they show up in the second half or after the 3rd inning, I'm still going to be apologetic and move out of their seats. I never sat in the student section of Alex Box. I always stood behind home plat until seats appeared to be available.....or I'd just stand the entire time to get the better view.

If it were someone in my seats, I don't think I'd care one way or another as long as I get to sit in the seats that I paid for or a better seat if it's that empty. It really doesn't offend me that much that someone is sitting in a chair.

Last year I sat with a friend who had seats in the south end zone at the Ole Miss game. Don't know why he has paid for those seats for 15 yrs. A drunk beside me stood up the whole time and pushed us down the bleachers. My buddy was on the end and pretty much stood out in the aisle the entire game. No big deal to him, but I'll be going to my chair back from now on.

Have had a few people sitting in my seats, but they always check their ticket and politely move. Upper deck at TS is bad about people just sitting where they want, in my experience.
