Yeah I know someone here who uses that same logic and it makes sense to me. But I've also heard that, at least here in Jacksonville, a bench warrant will be issued if you miss. Possible that is incorrect but it is what I've heard.

I've had dealings with this. For normal correspondence you are correct; however, our glorious legislature has put it in the book of law that a whole host of such "official" letters from big brother can be considered "served" if they are simply sent via mail. Just another way for an overreaching over-controlling organization to stick it to us.

They seriously need to get the decision makers in front of the cameras and have the, answer questions. It ain't going to rain tonight. And when we knew it was going to rain at 3:00, the jack holes wouldn't start game 1 at 11:00 or 12:00. MORONS!

Absolutely. Game one at 11 a.m. with game two at 6 p.m. would have worked out just fine. And all those NCAA cocksuckers would have needed was to look at the weather forecast to figure that out.
