I wouldn't give them anything, they had nothing to do with me earning that money.

I know it's selfish, but I'm probably not giving out any lump sums. I'm keeping 1 million and investing the rest. You can set yourself up to have generations of wealthy children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and so on. If smart, none of them would have to work. Probably wouldnt have to touch the initial invested principal. That money over those 4 generations would make much more charitable donations than the 50 million you donate. I know 50 mill right now is a lot different, but I just see the power of that much money and find the thought of dividing it up (even for noble things like charity) to be hard to do.

I went to SSA, and no doubt that school helped shaped me to be the person I am today. Not to mention that they provided me with a great education. I'd definitely give them $5 million.

My high school didn't do a fricking thing for me. I had to teach myself everything over again when I got to college and I grew to despise my high school more and more throughout college. frick my high school.

Myself. I would donate a few hundred thousand. Get a building named after me.

Let's say after taxes I clear $125mil.
50 million goes to Jesuit.
20 million goes to St. Dominic

I didn't know it at the time, but there were some folks in the community giving quite a bit of time and money to my high school to keep it up and running...which is the case with a lot of other schools as well.
I am not sure how much I would give, but I would certainly get involved enough to see where the need lies and donate to that...

$0 because the local school board would find a way to divert the money to somewhere else and waste it. The only way I might donate would be in the form of facilities but definitely not just straight up cash.

Nothing until they get rid of the count of a principal. Fwiw she was just a teacher when I was there. I hope she is gone by the time my kids get there

I'd pay to burn it down

I'd only give them money if I could make it segregated again

$0. Mainly because my school shut down

Knowing my old high school and the school board and administration that run it now giving them a million dollars and setting said million dollars on fire would be about the same thing. Well actually with setting it on fire someone could get some s'mores out of the deal, so not a complete waste.
Now St. Jude's on the other hand, I'd sign a check and tell them fill in the blanks.

I'd give upwards of a million under a bunch of conditions. Make them dance and maybe coerce some firings.
