I'm not as big of an NBA follower as I am of college, but this seems like a very solid hire. Not the risk/reward of Ettore Messina, but better than most of the guys. Certainly better than Malone and Skiles, and I prefer him to JVG as well.

Who did the melting Pellies fans want? Thibs?

"Hornets" fans were trolling JVG on here back in '07 bc the Rockets "couldn't get out of the first round!!!!"

JVG then got fired by the Rockets and hasn't coached since then, almost a decade. And his style back then was outdated.

yeah i've said the same a bunch

and TT, who was never coming to Nola, would want full control over talent acquisition, so if he was the wrong hire, we'd be super fricked. ignore all the issues with players and all that. he was an "all or nothing" hire. if he wasn't a championship coach, the franchise was doomed.
