There's a lot of capable teams

I would be fine with that pairing

I am assuming the 450 mile travel rule is still part of the equation though?

It must have been built with their minor league team in mind.

It was. It's home to the Springfield Cardinals, AA team for St Louis

That would be a nice regional for LSU. That would rival two of the easiest regionals LSU's ever had in 2008 and 2013.

Arkansas is the team I would least like to face in the post season. They are catching fire at the right time.

But like many have said, whoever the opponent is in the Super will be a tough draw.

I agree, but not for the same reason. I don't think SELU has the pitching depth. I would like to see us(SELU) get sent to Dallas Baptist, College of Charleston or Missouri State. Best chance to survive a regional. Still gonna be tough.

Whatever you are thinking about pairings, all the other 7 teams are thinking "frick me, we are paired with LSU"

agreed. That's why I don't want SELU there. Send us elsewhere.

If 2013 proved anything, its that a red-hot team can go cold very quickly. This is especially true when facing top competition.

This would have been one tough motherfricker circa 2005

Tulane would have to win its conference tourney to have any shot at a two-seed.

that would actually be pretty easy. North Carolina is just ok. Tulane we know about Tulane. Charleston is tough but we could have a much tougher super pairing than Charleston

I'll say. Best baseball program in that state. They are the reason Mizzou isn't better than they are. Just look at the Missouri State Bears baseball stadium, Hammons Field... Capacity, 8,000. It also has 28 luxury suites, five party decks, six food and beverage outlets, a souvenir shop and a club lounge. Now compare that to Mizzou's Taylor Stadium at Simmons Field... Capacity, 3,031. No suites. Huge gulf between those two in-state programs.

Certainly, the facility in Springfield is a lot better than the one in Columbia, but, unfortunately for Mo. State, who is in the discussion for a national seed, what I'm hearing is that it won't be available to host a super regional because the minor league team is in town that weekend. So, even if Mo. State were to get a national seed, they would end up going on the road for the super. That might be the committee's out for handling the MVC if DBU doesn't win the tournament--give a national seed to Mo. State, and pair them up with whatever SEC team just misses the cut.

Could very well happen that way. But Missouri State could also host a Saturday-Monday Super Regional if the AA team reschedules games to accommodate them. The Springfield Cardinals are off on that Monday so they could play a DH on Friday and squeeze in the other game of the three-game series whenever.
