Also, I am surprised as well about the lack of people moving with the time of the day. This was something that they did in Witcher 1 where the people would be at work in the day, at home in bed at night and would move from building to building in certain situations. Very odd that they would remove that in this series.
This is weird to me to. Sometimes people will be up at 4:30 a.m. just working like nobody's business.
The one thing I wish they did was add more traffic on the routes around the world. Red Dead Redemption is one game I'll use because they always had people on horseback traveling. I feel like I NEVER see anyone else on the road.

Yea, though I think they very well may have done that because the roads are filled with monsters, a war, and bandits. I wouldn't be traveling much either if I was a peasant there

I'm not overly impressed with the open world aspects of this game. Skrim came out 4 years ago and did it better. Red dead and GTA did it better. Fallout did it better. Those are all much bigger studios with a lot more money but this game isn't even close to them in regards to creating a living world

Open world is just a modern gaming fad. Plenty of games suffer being open world when they don't need to be.

This is why Halo 5 (I am a huge halo fan btw) I going to suck. They plan on making it more open world and that just is not halo. It is going to really suck.

I hope not. I love open world games. That's 75% of what I play on consoles.

Yeah. Infamous is a horrifically done open world in my opinion

Let me guess you haven't left white orchard yet? Been to big islands yet? Even if you don't like the story or gameplay they got the damn open world down.

I haven't played the game but watched a video talking about how it is flat compared to skyrim. Skyrim had mountains and dungeons.

I've explored the entire main map. The map itself isn't the issue. It's the failure to populate it in an interesting fashion.

Agreed. Unquestionably, Skyrim did it better. Doesn't mean this game sucks or anything, but the open world aspect is not what makes the game good.

very disappointed in the game.
story seems a little incoherent and the world uninteresting.
prob wont finish it, glad I torrented

damn ya'll for making me see some of these flaws
still a great game, but those little things do tend to stand out.
oh and I'm thinking the wind is meant to blow like that. the witcher and other characters have referenced it a few times in their dialogue. makes me wonder if it's not part of the plot or it's naturally windy like that in the world where it's located.

couple hours, killed the griffen, got the orders from the emperor to find the girl.
just witcher 2 had me interested and hooked from the get-go and the quests were somewhat compelling.
I find myself wondering why I care about anything in this game and don't like to play for hours to find out why I'm doing shite. The characters all seem to know and the player is the only one in the dark, which is frankly a shitty plot device.
I also got tired of every-fricking-place I went having chavs who were like OY U A WITCHER M8 ILL BASH YE frickIN SKULL IN I SWEAR ON ME MUM

gotcha. if I hadn't read the first book and part of the third book I'd probably be thinking about the same thing. but two hours seems to be a drop in the bucket to figure things out in a game that could last anywhere from a speed run 25 hrs to 200 hrs.

Well to be fair it's pretty sunny at 430 in the morning on that game.

Well, in Northwestern Europe, it does get light around 4:30 in the morning in summer at least.

Yeah and the sun goes down at like 9 o'clock. The day/night cycles are about what I expected them to be.
