The wife (MHNBPF) is in Atlanta and I am free to follow my culinary heart. So where do I go?
Bologna Sandwich
Yes, that is a 3/8 inch (slicer setting 14) $1.98 slice of mystery meat goodness. Add a good roll, butter, onion and spicy mustard and watch out!
Lets turn that roll into toasted buttery bun goodness.
I like cooked onions on my bologna sandwich, and 2/3rds of a medium onion (3 one quarter inch slices) cooked in a little butter seemed like a good idea.
Eventually I moved things aside to cook the bologna in the onion flavored butter.
Cooked slowly, until a nice crispy crust forms.
On the bun with some spicy mustard.
Next onioned up.
And plated with kettle chips and a beer.
Now that's what I'm talking about!
My stuff

I'm with you except the spicy mustard---never has been my thing for some reason. I'm a plain yellow mustard guy

I was expecting cocaine.
Nevertheless, IWEI.

That dinner probably set you back under two bucks.

I haven't had a bologna sandwich since I was a child and I didn't eat many of them, but I would eat that one.
