Sciv didn't appear to be in any hurry. Much like Foster running out that DP.

Lemme get this straight, we're blaming the catcher for a ball thrown up the first base line from an outfielder that was no more than 200 feet away (that is being very generous too)? It was a piss poor throw and embarrassing that they have so little respect for our arms to even send the guy.

maineri just seems to have an inability to see when his pitchers lose steam or just don't have it any longer.

Yes. I believe that throw was pathetic.

On case y'all haven't noticed, it ain't like Sciv is exactly a "fast twitch" athlete. Especially with all the gear on.

Look at the replay. He took 3 steps after Sciv got the ball and Sciv took none. His left foot was almost at the line. It was 5 feet off.

Lets just say neither the throw nor the tag attempt will make any how-to videos.

Could the throw have been better? Sure

Should Scivicque have made the tag anyway? Yes

this is just one of those nights for us, we will bounce back. I'm really not concerned. USCe is one of the most dangerous teams in college baseball right now. They almost swept Texas A&M in college station and they found a way to come back on us.

I'm just fed up with manieiri. You can quote the record and say I'm crazy but his decisions have made some of those wins harder than they needed to be. And the ones we've lost, the majority have been because of a delay in making a change of some kind or just making the wrong decision regardless.

Hard to judge Sciv having to go up the 1st base line, catch a ball at his feet, and get back all the way across the plate to tag. I think he had a hard time getting his feet unplanted, but I ultimately blame the shitty throw for putting him in a bad position to make a tag.

LSU: 12 hits, 1 error, yet only 6 runs
USC: 11 hits, 2 errors, yet 10 runs

LSU's lack of clutch hitting and patience at the plate has cost us.

USC's reliance on walks for offense pays off big for them.

...and to ensure typical SEC officiating consistency, several huge calls have been one-sided.
