Final 5 episodes of Letterman

Definitely worth watching, so set your DVRs.
Sandler appeared last night and performed one of the best songs he's ever written.
LINK
It's becoming increasingly emotional. Lots of guys getting choked up (especially Ray Romano). I have a feeling it's going to be pretty special.

I can say I've honestly never watched a single episode of Letterman. Have I missed out?

Gave up on Letterman a long time ago. I'm sure anything good will be put on youtube.

I stopped watching probably 15 years ago. But yes, you have missed out. In my mind, he's still at NBC. This is a massive trip down Nostalgia Lane.

Letterman stopped being funny for me not long after he left NBC (the bit where he tried to meet some of the CBS brass during his first year was good stuff).

These episodes won't be about humor.

Of course you've missed out.

I've never really liked Letterman or thought he was particularly funny, but I may tune in to watch the last episode. Like him or not, it's definitely a pretty big deal that he's leaving...it's the end of an era for sure.
As much as I like Conan, I never really watch his show too much...but I remember his last few Tonight Show episodes being great.

Eh, that was a rare scenario. He was fired, on bad terms with the network, and basically just gave them the big old FU with his last few episodes.
They were great.

Right. It's not the same thing, but I just mean that usually the last run of shows are pretty good for shows like these. And even though Conan's TS stint was short-lived and nowhere near the staple that Letterman is, it was still a pretty big deal due to the circumstances surrounding it.

Conan's Late Night final shows were epic BEFORE he went to the TS. You don't have to be an overall fan of the shows to appreciate the entertainment royalty that shows up and gets caught up in the moment.

Also, this is false:

Letterman actually had Conan on his show once and they had a good time poking fun at NBC and Jay and talked about how it went down. It was funny.

Stopped watching him years ago.. May watch the finale but his shtick got tiring and he just comes off as a dick now, especially off screen

Dave got way too serious and partisan shortly after he moved to CBS. He used to kill it in his early days on NBC. Now, he seems like a bitter old man trying to further a political agenda about 95% of the time.

M/TV poster doesn't watch Letterman.
Sees Letterman thread.
Takes the time to post that he doesn't watch Letterman.
What's the point.
