Played a few times the last couple of weeks at the nearby goat ranch. Shot 76, 74, 71. Putter is really starting to heat up.

A few things that have helped me:
1. Keep the ball more toward my front foot
2. Concentrating on striking the ball on the upswing to get it rolling sooner
3. Wedges are still lacking; need more time in the back yard with a bucket and shag balls

Feel free to add any tips that have helped or hindered your game.

Haven't shot a double bogey since I gave up golf.

I assume when you say wedges and work in the back yard you are referring to pitches around the green?

The biggest tip I can say that has helped my game is use all of your wedges. If you have a LW, don't take it out on every pitch shot. Use your SW/GW or even a 8 or 9 iron to get the ball rolling on the green towards the target on line quicker, it turns into more of a putt.

Hopefully the weather clears up in South Louisiana to get out and play this coming weekend!

Hurt my back 2 weeks ago. Haven't been able to play. I was striking the ball best of my life too. Really sucks I'm on the DL.

Can't keep the ball in bounds off the tee box consistantly, and it kills every hole that happens on. If I could cut out the double and triple bogies and more 2 or 3 times every round, i'd be half decent.

Starting to fix a lot of problems I was having. Most of my issues of late came with standing too far from the ball causing me to reach. I adjusted and hit the ball great but then started overcompensating and standing way too close to the ball causing a bad fade on my mid to long irons. Think I've finally figured out that is the problem. Was back to killing it at the range yesterday.

It's amazing how one little thing can throw everything off by so much.

played 18 for the first time in 18 months last week

driving range was closed due to water so just got up on the first tee and started swinging

when i was playing regularly i was in the low 90's, high 80's (i just started playing a few years ago), so when i shot a true 103 after taking a year and half off with no range time, i was pretty happy about it

my 2-3 year plan is to shoot 85 regularly, we'll see how that goes, tough to get out there with 2 young kids

I shot nine Friday AM before going to Zurich and shot 43 on the back nine, with 5 3 putts(2 were from the fringe). Still working on a hook but I'm getting fixing it somewhat. I can also go out and shoot 110 if I'm having an off day. Consistency is really tough for me... I've been "putting" with my 6i off the fringe and having good results.

We can talk about golf here?

I have been in the low 80s consistently again after struggling through the winter. Every round I'm just a few stupid mistakes from being in the 70s. Hopefully I can play Sunday.

We had a 9 hole putting green in my backyard as a kid and using it almost every day for over 10 years helped my game a lot.

I shot a +7 and +6 back to back on a course that usually eats me alive. Tied my personal best with the 7, and beat it with the 6.

Also, two weeks ago I shot even on another course for the first time ever.

Next stop...below par!

On short chips I've really been keeping the weight in my right hand (play right handed) through impact to remedy deceleration through the ball. Has really helped
