Did anyone else notice that the other AE, Tale of the Verve, or whatever just broke his maiden at Keeneland last Thursday?

I can't help it

Y'all know how I feel about red and white horses.

I lost enough on him in the bluegrass. Hopefully learned my lesson.

Alright. First oaks and derby.
Never bet. But have done betting research.
Do you recommend anything other than win or w/p/s?
Any wheels? Boxes? That kinda stuff worth it?
Like AP/all/all?

Also. Is it worthwhile asking win flyers on longer shots like far right, upstart, mubtaahij, int. star and hope to cover?

My favorite bet is $1 try box with 4 horses- with the crazy odds on Derby wkd, you can pick the top horses in the race, and as long as a medium shot steps up, the pay off is pretty damn good for $24.

Speaking of which, my picks for tomorrow after going through the PPs:
Oaks: 3-5-10-12 tri box
8 belles: 1-2-8-9 tri box
Turf Sprint: 3-8-9-12 tri box
Alysheba: 6-7-8-9 tri box
La Troienne: 2-6-8-9 tri box
Race 2: 4-6-9-11 tri box
Race 1: WPS on 6-8

$160 total

Go silver in the 8 belles :)

For derby I tend to do a 5 horse exacta box. With that many in the field shite happens so I like to cover myself. Normally I just do a 3 horse box or sometimes 4

I gave up on making heads or tails of some of the earlier maiden/allowance races.

I also wouldn't mind Ride on Curlin beating me to get his first stakes win. The poor horse deserves one, just have no idea about his form right now.

Condo Commando is really looking like the only legit speed in the Oaks, so the rest are likely going to need to run her down.

She has looked great to me all week. Seems to float over the track.

I hope she gets out in front and blows their doors off Aspy, she can blaze 9f and I have a beautifully balanced and correct Tizwonderful filly on the ground right now . Out of a Tapit mare.

Only filly on the workout stream all week that has looked good.

And woke up to a text that the track is like concrete and fast. I HATE tracks that do that for big race days. Hopefully they will loosen it up a little before the races.
