I will be in DC in two weeks, staying at the Westin, near the White House

Heading up for the weekend to cook crawfish for another poster's fundraiser crawfish boil. I will be there Thursday-Sunday any food or drink sports in the area I shouldn't miss?

Really like Central by Michel Richard, Jaleo (or any Jose Andres spot), after that the mid range falls off. Old Ebbit is a cool scene but the food is replaceable in any other major city's elbow rubbing place. Was a really cool brewery place but the name escapes me.
Personally, I find DC to be one of the most culinarily boring major cities in the world.

I only spent a summer living in DC during college, but one of my favorite late-night foods that I still try to grab when I'm in the city is Julia's Empanadas.

I was just there 2 weekends ago, and I ate at a few places. The food was surprisingly good. I was not impressed with Founding Farmers. As another posted, Old Ebbit was great scenery. I thought their crab cakes and clam chowder were quite good.
Now for the real winner. You absolutely MUST go to Blue Duck Tavern
This is one of the best restaurants I have eaten anywhere. We sat at the bar and downed a few of their coctail creations which were quite nice, but the food was outstanding. When you go you have to get their french fries. Seriously. I don't know what it was about them, but they were killer.
We had the following and thought each item was outstanding:
Collards, Brussel Sprouts, and the Chicken Fried Wild Quail. This was the best quail I have ever eaten, and I love quail. We got the apple pie desert based on all the glowing reviews I read, but we weren't too impressed with it. That was the only miss.
