Marty J's lunches in BR are really good.

They need to up their lunch staff, but the food is really tasty. Crawfish pasta in a cream sauce on Tuesday was delicious, as well as the Jambalaya stuffed pork chop yesterday. That's my kinda food.

That's lunch for you? You sound fat

I see this kind of response often. It's not unique, sort of a copycat response. I wonder why the folks who make this type of response, care whether the poster is fat, thin, tall, short etc...
Never heard of the place, Skillet, but sounds good to me. Where is it?

What are the prices like?
I went the week they opened and got a small rb po boy, some not very good fries, and a coke for like $14. Wasn't impressed. The sandwich was good, but that meal was not worth that much money.
Still, I hope they succeed b/c Marty seems like a good guy and BR needs more seafood markets.

On Perkins where Wayne Stablier's place was. Almost across the street from the Jambalaya Shoppe.
And yes, there are a ton of cookie cutter posters like Kel Varnsen who are not clever enough or smart enough to formulate an original response.

Not real cheap. I think the plate lunches are around $10..You're correct, the fries aren't very good.

Isn't this the place going in the old Leroys location?

Not sure, but I think they're opening a 2nd BR location.

The second location is going in the old Leroys location.

Assuming you dont listen to 104,5/104.9 much then.
Heard good things and I have been wanting to go. May hit it up for lunch tomorrow.

Gave them a shot today. Had a crawfish etouffee over fried catfish with some hushpuppies. Very good. Also grabbed some fried boudin balls. I will definitely go back.

We went for Poboys and they weren't worth going back for. They have no fountain drinks either. I wasn't too impressed.

People still listen to FM radio? With the exception of an LSU game or to here Paul on Fitzmorris I haven't listened to the radio in 5 years.
Skillet what you had are daily specials or on the menu? I'd eat the pork chop and I'm sure I sound fat but I prefer tubby.
Leroy's didn't last long.
Looks like Stabiler is finally moving forward on Jefferson Hwy location.
I've covered several threads with this one post so I'm going to eat some pancakes and bacon then take a nap.

No, the daily specials are not on the menu and are not an everyday thing. I've never had a jambalaya stuffed pork chop in my life, but it was very tasty.
And they now have fountain drinks at Marty J's...Looks like they maybe opened up before they were ready to. I guess they didn't want to lose out on any crawfish biz.
They've been understaffed for lunch, Lots of BR people eat lunch at around 11 (us fatties can't wait till noon lol) and I've seen phone calls put on eternal hold. Hopefully they will rectify this. Plus, they're only a few weeks old and their paper menu is already not accurate.

Usually it is the poster MOUTON making those comments - what a tool.

Think it's like his central steak house.
