I had a bulging disc and went to the chiropractor. Took about 6 months but it helped. Once they schedule you to once a month visits then it's time to quit. I then got an inversion table and never looked back. PT works as well. See which one is covered by insurance because both take awhile to work.

Works for me. I have super tight muscles but I am super flexible which causes a lot of problems in my back and neck. I'm trying at Pilates right now as well.

You could try once or twice. I'm not sure what physical therapy would be like for a neck...Are you under a lot of stress?

They're pretty good if you need to rack up some special damages in three months but don't want to have a real doctor tell you there is nothing wrong with you.

I would just be cautious of the chiropractors that purport to treat things like Autism, ADHD, and anything else that is not structurally related. One that says that it can effectively treat and/or cure just about anything and everything is either dishonest, illogical, or both.

If it's not degenerative disc they will help relieve pain by realignment the bones to take pressure off disks . I look at as I do cracking my knuckles. They reallign because I make them and it feels better afterward.

Waking up with headaches is a sign of sleep apnea

I use a chiropractor for minor things, back pain/neck pain

Massage is really good too

I see my chiropractor as needed and he is great. Get some good recs.

I've been to three different ones over the years and recommend giving one a try before doing anything invasive.

When you have an issue, repeated visits for a short time are necessary, then the frequency goes down.

Think I'll go next week and get all the kinks out before I start back working out hard.

I've found Yoga is fantastic to strengthen and maintain good core strength and alignment which helps prevents future injury & pain.

Quacks who practice junk "medicine". I always get a good laugh when they put "Dr." in front of their name, especially in social settings.

I was a skeptic of chiropractors. I thought they were all quacks. That was 30 years ago. Today, I am a believer and living proof that chiropractic care works...provided you align (no pun intended) yourself with a quality, caring doctor that has the patient's best interests at heart...and I did. He diagnosed and explained my condition...and told me that he can help by treating the root cause and not the symptom. He also promised me that a time will come when he won't be able to help me any more and at that time he will recommend that I see a neurologist. I have personally overhead him telling potential clients that he can't treat them (when they were literally crying from the pain and begging him to help) because their problem was much too serious for him to attempt to treat.

Certainly quacks are out there...but good ones are too. The challenge is to find them. But, to answer your question...YES, chiropractic treatment works.

Had numbness and tingling in my fingers and arm. Went to the chiropractor twice a week for a month. No more numbness or tingling. Coincidence...idk.

Chiros aren't real doctors. Just glorified masseurs

yes it can.

but you have to go to a real chiropractor who works on a wide variety of clients from geriatrics to athletes.

not all of them are quacks but many will only want to cater to the elderly bc its quick and their insurance covers it all generally.

many chiropractors will convince a lot of the elderly that they have to go very week which isnt the case for the most part.

so do your homework. ask around, investigate their methods. do this with massage therapists as well. why go to a massage therapist that only specializes in sweedish or relaxation when you need to use a sports or deep tissue massage.

I would never get an adjustment to my cervical spine by a Chiro. Every where else is fine. I think it can work on shoulders and low back depending on your specific issue.
