June 17
June is the only month that shares one date with another month, the 17th, and also has a unique date, the 18th. Bernard wouldn't have known if it was June or August until he knew the month.

The answer is that Cheryl is kind of a bitch. Bernard and Albert didn't ask for a list of 10 possible dates to guess from. They just asked her for the date she was born on.

timing is relative. did he not know at first when he asked and then knew after she told him the date or did he not know at first and then knew after he was told the date and talked with albert.

I'm saying June 17. It has to be in a month where only one of the days possible is shared by another month and it's the day that is shared.

My vote is May 19th. Bernard is able to deduce the birthday after getting the list from Cheryl. There is only one possible date it could be.

I remember the names on our standardized tests were so weird they were damn near distracting. They had to have gone out of their way to come up with some of that shite.
