nice bird. archery opened yesterday up here in ks. had a nice leading tom within about 60ish yards but ended up not commitin

I hope to shoot one with a bow someday.

But holy hell, what a challenge. It would have been impossible today. I stalked that one and had to crawl the last few yards and make the shot from my stomach. No chance with a bow.

Congrats. I've only gotten one to gobble - at 9:30 Sat. morning. He answered 6 times, getting closer each time, til the puss lured him away.
Ain't over yet tho.

It's been extra slow down here in central Fla. Went Sunday and Monday without hearing one gobble, extremely frustrating
