A good wipe with a silicone cloth can make the plastic stock shine like new.

Use loctite on the screws for the front sight.

You could cold blue the barrel and cover with good results if you want.

I want to make it look like the one my Dad gave me. He had dropped it in the Pearl River before I was born and wasn't able to find it. He went back every weekend for several weeks until he found it. Had a gunsmith restore it but instead of re-bluing it he had the barrel and receiver cover parkerized in an OD Green. Duracoat makes a color very similar and the finish is just as similar to parkerizing. I'm going to give that a try first.
