What does LSU's bullpen look like for the rest of the Alabama series?

Aside from the obvious smart arse answers, who is left for the next two games in the series?

Throwing 15 pitches in game one should never burn anyone.. We will be fine.

I think Person may be done.

Bain, Strall, and Stallings will be ready today if needed.

Newman, Bugg, and Cartwright will be ready Saturday if needed.

Person and Norman are probably done for the weekend, they both threw more than 2 innings. Everyone else should be OK by game 3. Out of the relievers who made the trip, I think the only fresh ones are Strall and Bain.

It's gotta look better than Bama's... They haven't been great lately, but the bullpen is pretty deep for a college team.

For all the complaints about the pen people had last night, we are VERY deep. So I like us against anyone if we go long in game one and win.

If Lange can get us at least six innings I'd like to see Bain saved until Saturday. If Godfrey falls flat we might need him to eat a lot of innings.

Person, Norman, and Newman should be done for the weekend. I would also think Stallings is not pitching today since he has pitched Tuesday and Thursday now.

Didn't Norman only pitch 2 innings?

We'd need more than 6 from Lange to save Bain. I think he's going to be first out of the pen today

Norman pitched Tuesday against UL Lafayette, he's done for the weekend.

I just don't get the logic in saying a guy threw more then 2 innings so now he's done. These guys were all starters at some point in their lives. If you can't be effective Saturday after only throwing 2-3 innings Thursday then something is wrong.

Well, I was one of them and "depth" really isn't my concern. Sheer numbers doesn't mean much if we can't find a couple who can consistently close out a game. Having said that, Norman did very well last night, once we went that "deep."

Norman did well and basically was the star of the game last night in my opinion.

How about this, it woldn't be ideal to put Person or Norman back out there. If LSU has to (meaning another marathon game) than they will. But we've seen Person be ineffective when he has come out of the pen either the next day, or twice in the same weekend. Norman is just getting used to the pen. He may be able to string together multiple weekend appearances. Problem is he pitched Tuesday and last night. If used it all, it would probably only in a desperate situation saturday.

Guessing it has more to do with resting the arm after multiple warm-up/cool-down events.
