Silverado vibrating at highway speeds...sometimes.

2009 2wd Silverado (75k miles)
About a month or two ago, i noticed my steering wheel vibrating(more like shaking) when i'm on I49 at around 70mph and faster. The strange thing is, it seems like it's worse on concrete than it is on blacktop, which is crazy to me.
Im sure the OB knows what issues can cause this kinda thing, just hoping it's something cheap.
Any ideas?

Front bearings/balljoints/tie rods, tire out of balance, or alignment

Have the balance on your tires check.

First guess would be a bearing. Pretty easy to check for.
Second would be some sort of stabilizer. Not 100% familiar with that model silver ado but had a dodge work truck with a bad stabilizer and it did just that

I have a '10 and mine does the same thing. Had it checked out and was told BALL JOINTS was the problem. About to get them replaced - not complaining with 160k miles.

Assuming tires are good/balanced, that's about the right time/age for the front wheel bearings to fail.

Lets assume balance steering and suspension are OK. I had that happen to me not long after having a tire replaced. The shop had water in the air lines and I ended up with a small amount of water inside the tire. It only takes less than an ounce to effect balance. As the water moved inside the tire from stopping and going, temperature, etc it would change the balance. We found out by breaking the tire back down and examining the inside of the tire. Have you had any tire work lately?
