looks almost like a clump of cypress trees...was there any knees around the base?...

see that's what I thought too, but no knees. It was surrounded by some bushes at the base but I cleared them all out and trimmed the tree up to the height you see.

Thats several trees together. The bark looks like cypress but need a better pic of the foliage. Also could be a variety of pine but can't tell. There are kneeless cypress trees but they arent totally kneeless.

When were these pictures taken? I don't think the foliage is back on bald cypress yet. This could be an off-site, out of range species someone planted there. The bark looks like Atlantic White Cedar.

I think what you may have here is commonly called China fir.
Not actually a fir, it is of the genus Cunninghamia (sp?). It is very common for this tree to develop the multiple trunks which your tree has. I see quite a few of them planted in cemeteries.

Not like a cedar if that's what you mean. It's a China Fir. Looks exactly like the images I found on Google. Thanks for all the help guys.

Cypress won't necessarily have knees around them if trees are planted and on high ground.
