Thanks Katrina.
Before the hurricane. Drugs were on the route THROUGH Slidell (can't help it with the highway setup).
Biloxi and Chalmette migrated to Slidell and the everything that used to go through... started staying.
Sucks. There are still nice areas... but the scumbag footprint has increased.

It might be 70% white. But most of that is white trash.

What do you know about success? You're a cop.

Ditto. My husband and I moved over here in 1990 from NOLA. Raised 3 children. Wonderful place to raise a family. Several beautiful and upscale subdivisions . Still a lot of really good people here. Unfortunately Katrina changed the demographics of many towns and cities, not only in Louisiana, but Texas, Georgia etc...

My Mom taught at Slidell High for a decade, Mandeville for a few years and another decade+ at Northshore. A good percentage of AP and Gifted classes. She finally retired after last year... but still volunteers for some local outreach (United Way typpe) programs because she thinks the young people in Slidell need more help now than they ever did since we moved there in 1983.

This is what the game will do to you.

90% of my family lives there and I grew up there and I can easily say that nothing about the neighborhoods they live in or schools they went to would be considered trashy to anyone that knows what they are talking about.
But I have to remember I'm on tiger droppings where mandeville and Covington are considered some type of perfect oasis

Hair-on is getting out of control. My step brother is on it, been to jail and rehab multiple times and is back on it within days of getting our. Don't think he has a snowballs chance in hell to make it to his 30's.

Covington definitely has it's share of trashy people.

I've been around party people my whole life and have never once even seen it. Not that I would've even been tempted...

Not possible. It's everywhere and has been for as long as I can remember. Besides weed it has easily been the most popular drug in the quarter for decades.
