What did you have and what is the cost per hour for your plane? Do you have a partner in the Plane?
Trying to decide what to buy. I have a little over 300 hundred hours. Checked many onlines sites and they talk about mision and other bullshite. I need to fly 2-3 people to the beach and to LSU games.
And to all the Typical OT posters yeah I know you have this to travel with your supermodel gfs so just post somewhere else

My pops had a 172 and then a Piper Cherokee. Flew to a lot of games in it when I was a wee lad.

Frick a private plane. I flew Lufthansa and Malayasian Air exclusively until recently.
Rethinking my options.

I have that same equipment. I find it is easier to delegate the flying so you don't have to worry about all that shite pilots have to do. Gives me so much time with the supermodels in the back.
Works for me, your nautical miles may vary.

Dad seemed to have partners in most of his planes. Cessna's & Cherokees.
They were people he grew up with or his brother.

OMG, you have to fly your own plane, WTF!!!!!!
I'm sorry you have the poor
And to answer your question, my pilot flies me around in an F-22

I picked up one of these bad boys for drug smuggling, only cost $24,000.

see the "three F theory"
ETA: "I have a little over 300 hundred hours." Not ready yet except under optimum conditions. Unless the 300 hrs. are in something like an F-4/F-15.

My current GF's dad has several but this is his more or less "daily driver". He collects a lot of vintage planes.
AERO COMMANDER L-26C (U-4B). He painted it just like Eisenhower's Little Air Force One as well. Kind of dorky but also pretty cool in a way. He says the cph is around $400.00 at present.
My fav of his is a P-17 Stearmon

Fair enough. I'll have to ask my butler what he flies, brb.

Depends on what you need. If you need a plane with tons of cargo, go with a King Air. If you want an awesome machine, go with the Pilatus. If you are an OT baller, G5.

with 300 hrs. that's the way to go, let the pros do the flying, he'll have much more fun in the back, and his friends will live longer

Bonanza aka "Doctor Killer"
The tried and true Cessna 310 twin is a stable forgiving plane.

It's a money pit, I'll tell you that, but if you really enjoy it, it's worth it.

I had a 172 years ago. Tie down was about $70/month, annual was roughly $1,000. I bought it for $21,000. Make sure it still has good TBO, an overhaul can cost almost as much as a small Cessna.
If you're looking into something larger, might look into a fractional lease or ownership. Might cost you 12-15k a year if you have enough partners.
