Those NetJets guys are doing it wrong if the Falcon is outpacing the X

Well I was pretty hungover when the pilot was talking about it, thought he said the Falcon was faster but maybe I had it backwards?

Looked it up, you're right the X is faster.

Only flown on the Falcon once, rest of the time we go on the Citation.

Pretty sure the Citation X is faster. I think it was the fastest business jet on the market until the G650 came along.

neither are a bad way to travel, but speed is the Citation X's claim to fame. Though it and the G650 trade speed titles regularly.

I'm not sure. We're talking a difference of .1 Mach between the 3 of them I think.

Where are you based in NC?

I'm over in RTP (Raleigh/Durham). Kind of a boring area unless you want to drive two hours to the beach, but the economy is pretty damn solid.

The Globals challenege the 650 on range but not speed. Actually the G650 was the fastest at .925 Mach until the Citataion X+ came out at .935.

Nothing on the market beats the range/speed combination of the G650 though. It just did a round the world trip with one stop averaging between .85-.88

Actually living in SC now, but lived in Pinehurst area for a long time. RTP is growing a lot, something new there every day.

I thought the X came along before the 650? I remember Gulfstream rushing to produce it because their tag line was always "Biggest, Fastest, Furthest" or something likept that.

I could be wrong

You are correct. X came out first, then the 650 which made it the fastest. Then Citation revamped the X with new avionics and bumped up the speed a little and called it the X+. They will just keep going back and forth until someone finally figures out how to do Mach 1 efficiently.

C208
Nothing fancy. Can hold a few of your buddies and golf clubs. Safe single turb prop and can put floats on it.

True. When all the businesses with the $$ that lobby to create new laws want a Mach 1 airplane, the regs will follow..

The 208 is a workhorse. Literally. I think it's overkill for what he's trying to do. I think he needs to go in with some buddies on a Bonanza.
