Any reviews on this handgun? I'm in the market for a .380 carry conceal and I saw this in the NRA magazine. Thoughts, comments, concerns...?

I wouldn't trust my life to any Taurus product. Spend a few more dollars and get a reliable firearm.

And here we go with the Taurus hate.
I can't comment on the Taurus curve but I will say I carry a Taurus daily and have another on my night stand. 1000s of rounds no problems, no FTF, no FTE, no issues at all.

Kahr makes a better .380 than Taurus. Honestly though, I would carry a S&W shield or something similar in 9mm. Better performance from a not much larger package.

I will agree for a normal sized or larger man and normal clothes 9mm or larger is ideal. For hot weather in the south a small 380 is a good option.

+1 for the S&W Shield. A couple of sites selling them for what I would pay from my distributor right now.

I don't hate Taurus but the gun looks silly. It reminds me of that Angelina Jolie movie where they "bend" bullets.

From my time working at a gun range a few years ago, I have seen the reliability of Taurus products.
Reliability varies from model to model.
I'd consider Taurus to be a mid quality gun, and I don't trust my life to mid quality.
Still, Taurus is nowhere near the junk that is put out by Bryco, Charter, Jennings, Star, Lorcin, etc.

I have a Charter AR7 from before they gave production to Henry. It is one of the crappiest guns I own. The barrel is bent and it isn't accurate past 30 yards. It is also the most picky .22 in existence (only fires Gemtech subsonic reliably).

While the Curve looks crazy, i'm glad to see a gun company trying to push the envelope a little.

What's a fair price for a Shield right now?

I'm not going to trash all Taurus handguns. I've got 3 myself and have been pleased w/ all of them. OTOH, it's fair to say the quality control is less consistent in Taurus guns compared to higher quality guns; a good Taurus is fine, but a bad one is......
My problems w/ the "Curve":
1. It reminds me of a solution looking for a problem.
2. If you like the concept, it applies best to waist carry. If you're going to carry cc on your waist, instead of the "Curve", carry a minimally bigger gun (like the Kahr CW9, Shield, SA XDs, etc) w/ a much more effective self defense round (9mm). I think a 380 should be carried in the pocket as a back up gun or as a primary gun when circumstances prevent carrying a bigger gun.
3. It's chambered in 380 ACP. Although I don't want to get shot w/ a 380, there's no arguing the 9mm is generally a better self defense round.
4. For a 380, the "Curve" looks big and bulky.
If you're set on the 380, I'd look at those made by S&W, Kahr, Ruger, etc.

Not a fan of taurus myself.
Any reason as to why a .380? There are a lot of 9mm options that are just as comfortable to carry.
When I was in the market for a conceal carry, my top choices were:
Shield, XDs, sig p938, and if you feel like waiting, glock 43.
I carry the XDs 9mm and love it. Will be picking up a glock 43 soon after it comes out though.
Most importantly get what is comfortable to you.

Great points!
Besides what he already stated, some things stand out to me:
1. I hate that the magazine is indented into the grip. That's a pinch from hell waiting to happen.
2. Internal slide lock - never a good feature on a handgun. This is the same reason I don't like the Beretta Nano. I'm not 100% sure it has a slide lock at all though, and if it doesn't that's also a bad feature.
3. Has no sights. The slide is completely smooth on the top.
4. The light that's built-in does not look very effective or bright. The same could possibly be said about the laser but this is just a hunch.
5. The little clip on the side is a very bad tempter for a person to carry the gun without covering the trigger. Even though Taurus has a little trigger guard sleeve that they say to use over the trigger, the little clip is a bad idea.
6. Carrying a gun with a built-in clip inside your waist is very uncomfortable and provides for no real retention. Get a gun and get a holster to stay safe.
7. My highest suggestion in a 380 is the Kahr CW380. It's very small, has a great trigger, usable sights, and a slim profile without the curve.
8. If you plan to carry in your waistband, I would advise a single stack 9mm from a reputable manufacturer.

Thanks for the comments guy. Of course this turned into a 380 vs 9mm debate. I have a S&W 40 for fall/winter carry. I want a 380 for hot weather and pocket carry. A 380 at point blank range will do the job just fine.

Actually, w/ the right pants and holster, a 9mm can be a good pocket carry gun, as well. Although I have a 380, I pocket carry my Kel-Tec PF9 more. Carpenter's shorts, a small single stack 9mm and a good holster make for comfortable summer carry. There, now I'll step down from my soap box.
