If you had to get rid of 1 player: Gordon, Holiday, or Evans, who would it be?

And why?

Are present injuries included?
If so, Holiday.
If not, Evans

No, present injuries are not included.... however, DO take injury history into account.
For example... if you wanted to trade one before next season, who would it be?

if i have to take injury history into account then holiday for that reason. if not, then evans because of his inability to play for the team instead of himself.

It's really between EG/Tyreke because jrues going nowhere.
But its tyreke that probably has to go first. EG will be gone regardless due to him being an expiring.

Would Tyreke be the PG?

It's a difficult question to answer without knowing 3 very important things.
1) Will Jrue's injury be behind him next year?
2) Can Tyreke handle a 6th man role that includes putting a non clutch player on the bench in the 4th most of the time?
3) How much will Gordon get on his next deal?
With positive answers to all 3 I think Gordon is the easiest to replace because he primarily gives you shooting.

Do I know if Eric Gordon is willing to re-sign for a reasonable price or not?
Posted on 3/22/15 at 5:46 pm to Broski
Well, I'm asking in a perfect world which two you prefer over the other. So we don't have to worry about what Gordon's price will be to re-sign. We assume that isn't an issue.

If we're talking about strictly on court performance, it's Tyreke and it's not even remotely close.

Keep all 3 and get rid of Monty

1. Evans
2. Holiday
3. Gordon
Tyreke is a low IQ basketball player, flat out. he's athletic and plays tough, but he's the reason why we lose a lot of games late more than us winning. He's the anti-clutch compared to EG and AD, but he's the one with the ball in his hands with the game on the line. His defensive rotations are not even average and he's just poor defensively. I knock Harden in past years, but Tyreke has always been bad. Even his offense is a black hole, people say he's such a good slasher, etc. but he can't shoot and chooses to take 1/3-1/4 of his shots from 3 and a lot from outside. High turnover rate, poor ortg, and a ball-hog mentality tells me he needs to go. This is like Manu in the playoffs a few years back and SA flipping out that Pop needed to corral him in. Monty can't corral Evans. I don't think many coaches can or want to even try. he's too 1-dimensional.
Next would be Holiday, he's the better PG imo, but he's too passive offensively. He's a solid shut down defender, and we missed him as many saw vs OKC. I think his rhythm with AD is superb and the core of Jrue-EG-AD-Asik should not be moved.
Last would be Gordon. Knock on wood, but Gordon seems to have his knees back and has been playing solid defense. I'd be sad if he opted out, SGs are also very thin in this league. He's also become a better shooter knowing his role for this team, giving the inside to AD/Asik/Evans and being a threat. He has a great chemistry/passing with Asik for easy dunks and layups. He's not given enough credit for his vision and passing.

Evans and it's not even close. Drives me nuts watching him.

Gordon makes fricking 15 mill to just shots 3's and play bad D why are you guys so in love with him now. Tyreke is playing out of fricking position, he's not a natural pg and you complain about how's he's playing.

Though if they had better 2 way players on the wing, I could be talked into keeping Evans over one of the other guys. Bottom line, they likely need to dump one to make for a better fit overall.

So you would say keep Holiday at PG, put Evans at SG, and get rid of Gordon and use the $15 million elsewhere?
Posted on 3/22/15 at 6:47 pm to 504ByrdGang
Because the SG that is playing "out of position" would still be a worse SG than EG.
SG should be able to shoot, Tyreke can't.
EG doesn't get the calls when he drives, but if you think his spacing doesn't help AD than you're nuts.

Holiday hands down. At least the other 2 are playing.

Holiday and it's not a question.
