What do you use to keep the gas pumping when the lever is broken?

I always pick the wrong damn pump.
A golf tee works for me sometimes, but looking for other ideas

Stick your gas cap under the pump handle

36 gallons takes awhile and some times you want to run in and get something anyway

Gas cap, but my truck doesn't have a cap. I use a 20oz water bottle now when I encounter this in my truck.

I just grab a beer can out the back of the truck and crumble it up to the right size.

Used bullet, casing only. 30-06 works excellent

I've used an assortment of things over the years, but lately I've been getting gas at Costco. Don't have to worry about that there so far.
I used to have a wooden crawfish paddle in the back of my truck that worked really good. I've also used ratchet straps. I can't think of anything else, but if it was in the back of my truck at the time, it was probably used or attempted.

Keep a tennis ball in your vehicle and use that.

I think some stations break the damn things off on purpose
Sometimes they won't have any on any of their pumps
I can't see them all breaking that easily

You would rather spend the time to find something to hold it when you have two perfectly good hands?
