Alright cool man. Keep focusing on the big picture of making people better all around. Probably hit some resistance, but your trained to deal with it. Religions might have different beliefs, but I think that is the end game of damn near every one of them
Eta: I appreciate the response because like I said earlier, I enjoy understanding how people work both individually and as a group

t simply hurt to think that they don't love us enough to leave it to us.
And the fact they didn't even consult y'all, right? That would bother me I think.
Same thing happened in my family years ago, my maw maw and paw paw wanter to sell our family lake house, my uncle,(the only person that enjoyed it because he didn't like anybody else from the fam over there, yes..dick move), when they dropped the news in him he went ballistic and didn't talk to either my maw maw and paw paw till on their death beds. He didn't offer to buy it from them or anything.. He wanted that lot.. and it was a good spot
Back in Christmas of '10 he came over to dinner, got drunk and apologized to me and my dad for not inviting us to the lake house and then told me he loved me.. He never told anybody this and was really reserved person.
I responded with,"thanks, hugh.. But it doesn't matter now that we don't have a fricking lake house." Everybody died laughing, and we made light of a dark situation.
But six months later, Hugh was dead.. massive heart attack. He did make his peace with though, and I'm glad.. You can't let property tear about your bloodline.
But it happens, you just have to plan for it as best as possible.

Well, you know, people aren't perfect.
Christians or not, pastors or not, we are all still people.
It is hard not judge. It is hard to forgive, but that is what we are taught to do.
It is hard to do this, but we should.

You'll think I need an exorcism.

One of them just so happens to be my most recent ex

there is time for your grandparents to change their mind, or have their mind changed. it has not happened yet

It's not about them deserving it.
It's about you deserving it.

quote:lol my grand parents had a lake house, me and my dad went there all the time, i learned to ski out front, drank my first beer on the porch, ad was stalking a monster bass that hungout in the shallows off the point.

Religion talk does not go over well on the OB, I remember when everybody got all pissed off at the guy who didn't like the Robertson's,"shoving their religion down our throats", on their own TV show

Wait, your grandmothers brother is your uncle? My be correct but it sure sounds weird.
I would absolutely confront them both. There is NO excuse for them not discussing it with you.
Your uncle is a dick and your grandmother is a biter vengeful dishonest old bag.
I would not talk to either again.

If you don't forgive them, all they are doing is occupying space in your mind and that space is full of bad feelings. IF you forgive them, it gives you the power to eliminate their negative influence on your life, and move in a more positive direction. If they are bad people who dislike you, that is the worst thing that could happen. And even worse for them, you can actually be nice and give it no more meaning than being kind to a stranger. It will absolutely be an evolution to a higher place in the maturity/confidence ladder, and IF they are bad people, they will dislike it more than your grudge.
