Liberal Arts Majors: Did your college courses prepare you for your jobs?

I understand that my Alma Mater is spoiled for public policy courses, but I also took classes that prepared me for drafting reports, finding credible sources, etc.
I ask because the firm where I work employs interns, and most of them have zero idea of how to do anything before they get to us. (They are always recent graduates.)
STEM majors can gfthemselves on this topic

No, which is why I'm now at college for a second time getting a STEM degree.

Which is a good point because people these days confuse college with trade school. It's not. Your university is not obligated to get you a lucrative career.

They can learn on the job at Starbucks so lack of college prep isn't a big deal

All my friends in college laughed at my poli sci major but Read and wrote a ton in college and it helped me understand big picture thinking
Also poli sci is pretty good for understanding the law of unintended consequences
